Pasta playing fetch in the sea

This blog is becoming more like Pasta's blog! Hhmm...

Last weekend, Pasta and I were at the beach with colleagues and trainees. The trainees were finishing their course with us and it was time to party! I was so excited to go to the beach, more so because I was bringing Pasta with me. Pasta's first time to meet the sea was quite funny. She must really be wondering why it was so salty. But later on, she couldn't get enough of swimming. I happily obliged, of course.

Bringing Pasta to the beach was like bringing kids. Leash? Check. Collar? Check. Toys? Check. Towels? Check. Snack (apples)? Check. She had a bag of her own! On the way, she threw up, though. Her first time to go on a long trip!

Having brought her toys, we played fetch. I'd throw her beany to the sea and she'd fetch it for me.She was really up to it!

Pasta meets the sea for the first time

Have you read about the GenSan Gems Giveaway?

Over the weekend, we had a group outing to the beach! I have been in GenSan for over a year, and it's only now that I'm going to Gumasa, Sarangani Province which is well known in this parts for white sand beaches. I was so excited, as finally, I can hit the beach. I was even more excited to get the chance to bring Pasta to the beach. Labrador retrievers love the water, so I was really excited how she would react to the sea.

Pasta's first impression? The sea is salty!!!

Here's a video of her as she meets the sea for the first time.

I have been featuring the many things I like in GenSan (my life in GenSan, that is) in this blog, I thought I'd share with you some of the products here in a monthly giveaway. There's more to GenSan, than Manny Pacquio and tuna, you know! Every month there's a giveaway. These may include jams, dried fruits, Pacman souvenir items, tuna products, vegetables like asparagus, or maybe something cooked up by A Scientist in the Kitchen.

For this month, May, I'm giving a way fruit jams made by Kablon farms. I'm giving away two packs of Kablon fruit jams so there'll be two winners this month.

Here's how to join:

The elusive Manny Pacquiao

Haayy, I have been here in GenSan for more than a year, but I still have to have my picture taken with Manny himself. I haven't even met Mommy Dionisia nor Jinky! I even pass by his house in GenSan on my way to work, but nary a shadow of him.

So now, I just have to content myself with this cap from his campaign.

Conversations with Pasta

My baby's grown!

And so has her wit! I always have this imaginary conversations with her on whatever's happening here at home. I do talk to her most of the time and she does the listening. Here are snipets of our conversations I've posted in my Facebook status.

Pasta: Ooopps...

Me: Nanuod ako ng Clash of the Titans kanina. Pegasus reminds me of you.
Pasta: Pwede kaya ako magkapakpak?
Me: Ambisyosa ka naman dyan! :p

Another conversation with Pasta.
Me: Uy may summer kinder class dito sa subdivision. Enroll ko kaya ikaw?
Pasta: Hmp!(sabay taas ng kilay at balik tulog)

Astronomy lessons with Pasta.

Me: Pasta, yan ang moon.
Pasta: awwwoo! awwwooo!
Me: Pasta, walang ganyanan...
